How to Make an Efficient Schedule for Your Dissertation Writing Process?

Working over a big academic project is often full of frustration and stress due to the lack of time, energy, and a desire to keep on. The only thing you need for efficient writing and as little stress as possible is good time-management.

Dissertation Writing: How to Plan Your Day

Although you may have several years to finish your thesis, it’s better to work evenly day after day, with the help of careful planning. Since your research is not the only thing in your life, you need time to give attention to your own social life, having rest, and so on. This is why it can happen that even your days will be scheduled up to minutes.

There are two very effective writing modes that will help you being productive, saving time and health.

  1. Waking up early.
  2. You will need to go to bed very early, about 8-9pm and wake up no later than 4am. Mornings after a sufficient night sleep are much more productive than evenings after a working day when you hopelessly try to fight brain numbness. If you are no way an early bird, start taking contrast showers that will wake you up. After some practice, you will discover an incredible writing potential that will last for several hours. Later, you will have the whole day for other businesses.

  3. Sleeping an hour and a half.
  4. This method gives you an hour and a half of sleeping somewhere between 6pm and 8:30pm. Then, you need to wake up for four to five hours, work as much as you can, and go to bed again. You can use the daytime for any other businesses that are or are not connected to the thesis writing.

Putting Up with the Dissertation Writing

Your work is a step forth and a transition to a new level of your personal development. In case it’s too hard for you to concentrate on working day after day, develop a ritual. Work between the same hours, for the same amount of time, in the same place, wearing the same clothes. It will help you get used to it as to a kind of job with a working place, uniform dress code, and working hours.
